- As a performer, Kate has premiered over thirty new works of classical and/or avant-garde music, and appeared in countless recitals, musicals and concerts across the United States. Kate is also a 1998 Eugene O’Neil Cabaret Fellow, and her commercial media work includes voice-over and television work, and several recordings, including one for Musical Heritage Society.
Kate has taught voice privately for over 20 years, and is the author of the book, “Can You Hear Me Now?” a new 31-day guide to improving your vocal impact. In addition, she has been a speaker for the University of California Alumni Association, Women in Business, Rotary, the National Association of Female Executives, and a featured guest on the KNX Business Hour, Women Aloud, and other national radio shows.
In an interesting twist of fate, Kate was hired to be the smoke and mirrors behind the first voice-actuated computer (made by Heuristics Corporation in the early 80’s). This began an interest in technology that eventually led her to co-found Narratus, a technology consulting practice with her partner Doug Simao. Narratus is a multi-faceted corporate services company headquartered in Southern California, whose interdisciplinary practices of decision support services, corporate media services, and capital campaign support services encompass the full scope of information management and dissemination.
